CLEANING MAIDS — INDEPENDENT SERVICE PROVIDER TERMS
Version: 25 October 2026

1. Marketplace and bookings

Cleaning Maids connects customers with independent cleaning service providers. It does not offer you employment, a salary, guaranteed jobs or guaranteed earnings. Each accepted cleaning booking is an agreement between you and the customer for the scope, price and appointment agreed in that booking. Cleaning Maids remains responsible for its own platform services and any duties imposed by law.

2. Your choice and independence

You choose whether and when to use the platform, which jobs to bid for, your proposed price and your availability. There are no compulsory shifts, minimum hours or minimum job-acceptance requirements, and no penalty merely for declining available jobs or being inactive. You may work for other platforms and your own customers. You determine how to carry out the agreed cleaning safely and professionally. Agree supplies, access, tasks and timing with the customer before the booking. Once a bid is accepted, honour the booking or use the applicable cancellation process promptly.

3. Operating in your own name

A South African individual working alone may operate as a sole proprietor using their own name. You do not need to form a company, register with CIPC or buy shares merely to provide cleaning services as a sole proprietor. You are responsible for applicable SARS registration, declaring business income, keeping invoices and expense records, and complying with any income tax, provisional tax and VAT obligations that apply to you. Only charge VAT if registered. If you employ other people, you are responsible for the applicable employer obligations.

4. Identity and permission to work

Provide accurate identity, contact and payment-recipient information through the designated secure process. Complete the required review before bidding. If you are not a South African citizen, your status must authorise the actual work or self-employment you undertake. Registration, approval or share ownership does not grant immigration permission. Keep your documents current and report relevant changes. Do not send identity documents, tax numbers or banking details in job bids or chat.

5. Fees and payments

Your cleaning earnings are payments for services, not dividends. Check the booking price, any clearly disclosed charges, payment method and payout conditions before committing. These terms do not create a new fee or change an existing fee. Registration does not make you a shareholder. You are responsible for your own business costs and for checking whether suitable public-liability or personal-accident cover is needed for your work.

6. Service standards and support

Describe your skills honestly, perform the agreed tasks with reasonable care, respect the customer's property and privacy, and follow applicable safety rules. Report unsafe conditions, incidents or booking disputes to support@cleaningmaids.co.za. Safety, fraud, misconduct and breach-of-booking concerns may be investigated under the platform's applicable processes; choosing not to bid is not misconduct.

7. Your legal rights

The actual working relationship determines legal status. These terms do not waive employment, minimum-wage, consumer, tax or other rights and obligations that apply under South African law. A recurring arrangement may require a separate assessment. Nothing here prevents you from obtaining advice or approaching a competent authority.

8. Acceptance and your copy

Read these terms and the Privacy Policy before accepting. Your acceptance is recorded with the version and time, and a copy is emailed to your signup address when you register as a provider or first enable the provider role on this website. This is a transactional email, not consent to marketing. Material changes require a fresh acceptance where applicable.
